Terms & Conditions

Welcome to MarDiSol Yoga. These Terms & Conditions apply to the MarDiSol Yoga website and to classes, private sessions, sound-healing sessions, workshops, events, online offerings and other services provided by Maria Solomonidou trading as MarDiSol Yoga in Ypsonas, Limassol, Cyprus.

By using this website, creating an account, making a booking, purchasing a class pass or participating in a MarDiSol Yoga offering, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and any applicable Booking Policy displayed during the booking process.
 

1. About MarDiSol Yoga

MarDiSol Yoga offers group yoga classes, private and semi-private yoga sessions, sound-healing sessions, workshops, events, digital content and related wellbeing services.

Yoga and sound healing are complementary wellbeing practices. They are not medical treatment, diagnosis, psychotherapy, physiotherapy or a substitute for advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
 

2. Bookings

Group classes are normally booked through Wix Bookings. Private yoga, private sound healing, consultations or selected services may be booked through Calendly, Wix, WhatsApp or directly with MarDiSol Yoga.

A booking is confirmed only when:

  • The booking process has been completed;

  • Any required intake or waiver form has been submitted; and

  • The required payment has been received or a valid class-pass credit has been applied.

Places are subject to availability. Group-class capacity is limited, and completing a payment does not guarantee a place unless the booking has been confirmed.

Clients are responsible for ensuring that the name, email address, telephone number and other booking information they provide are accurate.

Bookings and class passes are personal and may not be transferred to another person unless MarDiSol Yoga agrees in writing.
 

3. Payments

Prices are displayed in euros and may be updated from time to time. The price shown when a booking or purchase is confirmed is the price that applies to that transaction.

Online payments may be processed through Wix and its connected payment providers, such as Stripe. MarDiSol Yoga may also accept Revolut, QuickPay, cash or another agreed payment method.

Payments made outside Wix are not automatically recognised by the booking system. The booking will be confirmed manually after the payment has been received.

Clients are responsible for any fees their bank or payment provider may charge.
 

4. Drop-in bookings

A drop-in booking reserves one place in one specified class.

Drop-in bookings must be paid in advance unless MarDiSol Yoga expressly agrees otherwise. They are subject to the cancellation deadline shown during the booking process and in the applicable Group Class Booking Policy.

A late cancellation or non-attendance may result in the full drop-in payment being retained, subject to applicable consumer law.


5. Class passes

MarDiSol Yoga currently offers class passes that may include:

  • A 4-Class Pass;

  • An 8-Class Pass; or

  • Other passes introduced and displayed on the website.

The price, number of sessions, validity period and eligible classes are shown before purchase.

Unless stated otherwise:

  • Class passes are personal and cannot be shared or transferred;

  • Passes begin on the start date shown at purchase;

  • All sessions must be used within the stated validity period;

  • Unused sessions expire at the end of that period;

  • Expiry dates are not extended because of missed classes, holidays, travel, illness or personal scheduling difficulties;

  • Possession of a pass does not guarantee availability in a particular class;

  • Every class must still be booked in advance;

  • A session is deducted when a class is booked; and

  • A session is returned only when cancellation occurs within the permitted cancellation window.

Passes are non-refundable after use has begun, except where required by applicable law or where MarDiSol Yoga agrees otherwise in writing.


6. Group-class cancellations and rescheduling

The cancellation and rescheduling deadline displayed during booking applies to group classes. The current standard deadline is 24 hours before the class begins, unless a different deadline is displayed.

When a booking is cancelled within the permitted period:

  • An eligible class-pass credit should be returned to the pass; or

  • A drop-in booking may be rescheduled or credited where the applicable Booking Policy allows.

For cancellations made after the deadline or for non-attendance:

  • The class-pass session remains used; and

  • A drop-in payment is not refunded or credited.

Clients should cancel through their Wix account whenever possible. Sending a message does not automatically cancel a Wix booking unless MarDiSol Yoga confirms the cancellation.


7. Private and semi-private sessions

Private and semi-private sessions must be paid in advance unless otherwise agreed.

A private session may be rescheduled when at least 24 hours’ notice is provided. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full.

Private-session packages must be completed within the validity period stated at purchase. Unless a different period is specified, a 10-session private package must be completed within three months.

If MarDiSol Yoga cancels a private session, the client will be offered a rescheduled session or an appropriate credit or refund.


8. Workshops, events and special offerings

Workshops, retreats, sound-healing gatherings and special events may have individual payment, cancellation and participation terms. These will be displayed before booking and take precedence where they differ from these general Terms.

Unless otherwise stated, event bookings are personal and non-refundable. If MarDiSol Yoga cancels an event, participants will be offered a new date, credit or refund.

MarDiSol Yoga is not responsible for reasonable changes to an event schedule, teacher, location or programme where these changes do not substantially alter the nature of the offering.


9. Late arrival

Participants should arrive at the time communicated in the booking confirmation.

Late entry may be refused when it would disrupt the class, compromise safety or require the teacher to leave the class unattended. A refused late entry is treated as a missed class and is not normally refunded or credited.


10. Health and participation

Yoga involves physical movement and carries an inherent possibility of discomfort or injury.

Participants agree to:

  • Practise within their personal limits;

  • Follow instructions and choose suitable variations;

  • Stop if they experience pain, dizziness, numbness, unusual difficulty breathing or feel unwell;

  • Tell Maria before class about relevant injuries, pregnancy, recent surgery, health conditions, allergies, movement restrictions or changes that may affect participation; and

  • Seek professional medical advice if they are unsure whether an activity is appropriate for them.

Providing health information does not make MarDiSol Yoga responsible for diagnosing a condition or determining medical fitness to participate.

The teacher may suggest that a participant modify, pause or discontinue an activity where there is a reasonable safety concern. MarDiSol Yoga may refuse participation where necessary to protect the participant, the teacher or the group.


11. Hands-on adjustments

Hands-on adjustments are never compulsory.

Where a participant has indicated that they are open to hands-on guidance, Maria will request permission before providing an adjustment. Permission may be declined or withdrawn at any time without explanation.

Previous consent does not create permanent or ongoing consent.


12. Sound healing

Sound-healing sessions may involve singing bowls, chimes, tingsha, percussion, vibration, periods of silence and other sounds.

Responses to sound can vary. A session may feel calming, energising, emotionally intense or uncomfortable. Participants should inform Maria of relevant hearing concerns, sound sensitivities, migraines, epilepsy, pregnancy, implanted medical devices, significant mental-health concerns or any other condition that may affect their experience.

Participants may pause or leave a session at any time.

Sound healing is not medical or psychological treatment and no particular physical, emotional or spiritual result is guaranteed.


13. Personal belongings and studio property

Participants are responsible for their personal belongings. MarDiSol Yoga is not responsible for loss, theft or damage except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

Studio mats, blocks, bolsters, blankets, straps and other equipment must be used respectfully and returned after use. Participants may be charged for deliberate or negligent damage.


14. Conduct

MarDiSol Yoga aims to provide a respectful, inclusive and safe environment.

Harassment, discrimination, threatening behaviour, inappropriate physical contact, deliberate disruption or conduct that places another person at risk will not be accepted.

MarDiSol Yoga may refuse or end participation where a person’s behaviour threatens safety, wellbeing or the respectful atmosphere of the space. No refund will normally be provided when participation is ended because of serious misconduct.


15. Photography and video

MarDiSol Yoga may occasionally take photographs or short videos during classes, events or studio activities.

Identifiable images will only be intentionally used where the participant has given separate permission. Refusing media consent does not prevent anyone from attending.

Participants may change their preference for future recordings by contacting MarDiSol Yoga. Withdrawal does not affect use that was lawful before withdrawal, although reasonable requests to remove existing online content will be considered where practicable.

Participants may not record other students, private conversations or sessions without prior permission.


16. Online classes and digital content

Participants joining an online session are responsible for:

  • A suitable internet connection and device;

  • Creating a safe, clear practice space;

  • Selecting appropriate movements and variations; and

  • Stopping if they feel pain or unwell.

MarDiSol Yoga is not responsible for interruptions caused by the participant’s device, internet connection or third-party platform.

Free videos, recorded practices, journal content and other digital materials are provided for general educational purposes. They are not personalised instruction or medical advice.


17. Intellectual property

All original website text, class materials, videos, photographs, recordings, graphics, course content and MarDiSol Yoga branding belong to MarDiSol Yoga or are used with permission.

Content may be viewed for personal, non-commercial use. It may not be copied, recorded, reproduced, sold, republished, taught, distributed or modified without prior written permission.

Sharing a website link or public social-media post is permitted when MarDiSol Yoga is properly credited.


18. Website and third-party services

The website may contain or connect to services operated by third parties, including Wix, Stripe, Calendly, Revolut, QuickPay, WhatsApp, YouTube, Google Maps and social-media platforms.

MarDiSol Yoga does not control these services and is not responsible for their availability, security, content or independent privacy practices.

External links are provided for convenience and do not necessarily represent an endorsement.


19. Service changes and cancellations

Class schedules, teachers, prices and services may occasionally change.

MarDiSol Yoga may cancel or reschedule a class because of illness, emergencies, insufficient attendance, unsafe conditions or circumstances outside reasonable control.

When MarDiSol Yoga cancels a class, affected participants will normally receive a returned pass credit, rescheduled booking or refund, as appropriate.

MarDiSol Yoga is not responsible for additional travel, accommodation or personal costs caused by a cancellation, except where required by law.


20. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability arising from fraud, deliberate misconduct or any other responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, MarDiSol Yoga is not responsible for:

  • Injuries resulting from a participant disregarding instructions or practising beyond their limits;

  • Undisclosed health conditions or restrictions;

  • Loss or damage caused by third-party services;

  • Indirect or unforeseeable losses; or

  • Events outside MarDiSol Yoga’s reasonable control.

These Terms do not affect any mandatory consumer rights under Cyprus or European Union law.


21. Privacy

Personal information is handled according to the MarDiSol Yoga Privacy Policy.

Participants should provide only health information relevant to their safe participation. Email-marketing, WhatsApp-marketing and photography/video permissions are separate and optional.


22. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated when services, booking systems, legal requirements or studio policies change.

The latest version will be published on this website with the date of the most recent update. Material changes affecting an existing booking will be communicated where reasonably necessary.


23. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus and applicable European Union consumer law.

Any dispute should first be raised directly with MarDiSol Yoga so that a reasonable solution can be attempted. This does not remove any right to contact a competent consumer authority or court.
